Pancreatitis (inflamed pancreas attacks) in a dog or cat
This condition is very painful to experience. Pancreatitis can often be a misdiagnosed condition in our pets. Most commonly many felines are missed in having pancreas inflammation pain.
Prednisone and other catabolic steroids injections are also well known to cause pancreatitis.
Even the diuretic Lasix (Furosemide®) drugs, has been implicated in pancreatitis attacks in dogs and cats.
~ Symptoms of Pancreatitis in Cats.
Pancreatitis may be acute or chronic with the latter being more common in cats. In some studies, Siamese cats have been over-represented for pancreatitis.
Use the HAMPL Acute Pancreatitis 72-2 drops .. straight away without delay.
In cats, pancreatitis can cause a variety of symptoms.
- Abdominal Pain – If your cat has abdominal or belly pain, it may cry out, hiss, or try to get away if you try to pick it up or seem to have difficulty getting comfortable when lying down. Your veterinarian can also feel your cat tense up if there is a sensitive or painful spot when they are feeling your cat’s belly.
- Vomiting, Nausea – A cat may vomit for a number of reasons and pancreatitis is no exception. Vomiting may occur due to the abdominal pain or digestive issues secondary to the pancreatitis.
- Weight loss – Cats with pancreatitis are usually losing weight because of the other symptoms, such as vomiting, diarrhea, and anorexia.
- Lethargy – Just like when we don’t feel well and aren’t very active, a cat with pancreatitis will often be lethargic and not want to move around very much.
- Diarrhea – Since pancreatitis affects the pancreas and the pancreas plays an important part in digestion, cats with pancreatitis often experience diarrhea.
- Dehydration – If a cat with pancreatitis is lethargic, it may not want to drink much water and also have diarrhea. The combination of these two things can quickly lead to dehydration.
- Fever – If there is inflammation in the pancreas, a cat will often have an elevated core body temperature.
- Anorexia – A cat that doesn’t feel well, has abdominal pain, and is vomiting usually doesn’t want to eat very much.
- Difficulty Breathing
- Death – This is of course an extreme response to pancreatitis, but if an acute pancreatitis attack is severe enough, it can be deadly to a cat.
“Acute Pancreatitis” in Dogs
Use the HAMPL Acute Pancreatitis 72-2 drops straight away without delay… if you see any of these possible symptoms:
- Abdominal pain
- Hunching the back as if to protect the belly
- Loss of appetite
- Blood in feces
- Lethargy or restlessness
If you see these symptoms in your dog, get to your vet.
Acute pancreatitis can lead to very severe problems, like organ failure (kidneys, lungs, heart), septic shock or death.
TIMES OF ACUTE ATTACKS
Stop all solid foods.
When in acute attack – pain .. only offer home prepared

Once you start our special custom-made herbal and homeopathic formulas attacks will become a thing of the past. Be aware of certain foods that may trigger pain and inflammation. We need to look at supporting digestion and assimilation of pancreatic enzymes functions and better assimilation of carbohydrates and fats through the pancreas.

Common for felines to have chronic pancreas issues.
For canines also avoid carbohydrates and sugars i.e all artificial pet foods – high in fats.

Relief is seen within 15 minutes of repeat applications every 5 minutes.
Add homeopathic Acute Pancreas 72-2 formula drops to water dish every time you change it as well as to every meal given.
Also see pdf HELP SHEET about foods to avoid.
“Chronic” Pancreatitis In Dogs
There’s also a longer term, chronic kind of pancreatitis.
Your dog may develop a low-grade, smoldering form of pancreatitis. This can produce intermittent mild signs of illness, such as:
- Occasional vomiting
- Lack of appetite
Longstanding chronic pancreatitis can lead to type 1 diabetes or pancreatic insufficiency.
This is due to gradual loss of cells and replacement with scar tissue over time.
Several risk factors for acute pancreatitis in dogs and cats have been identified: Attacks of acute pain can occur when inflammation of pancreas occurs.
Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), also called pancreatic insufficiency and maldigestion syndrome is thought to be rare in cats. New research suggests veterinarians should look more closely at EPI as a potential cause of diarrhea and chronic weight loss in kitties and adult cats.
Common symptoms and types
EPI may cause digestive problems, malnutrition, and /or improper absorption of nutrients into the body, which can contribute to an overgrowth of bacteria in the intestines.
Symptoms may include –
weight loss despite a normal or increased appetite;
frequent or greater volume of stool and gas;
and Coprophagia (stool eating), a condition which causes an animal to eat its own stool.
Chronic Pancreatitis in Cats
is often related to food sensitivities and presents with a similar history and clinical signs as
Chronic Esophagitis and Reflux, except there is no regurge. * Note – The HAMPL Reflux 343 formula has been added to bottle no 2. Acute Pancreas formula
However, by the time cats with Chronic Pancreatitis are taken to the veterinarian, most have already been Hyporexic or Anorexic for many days to weeks.
Prolonged under nutrition in cats can lead to weight loss or even hepatic lipidosis. (liver)
* See HAMPL Liver Detox 36 formula
Some of the Medical Symptoms can be :
~ Jaundice – Another sign of Hepatic lipidosis is jaundice, which is the yellowing of the skin and eyes. * See HAMPL Jaundice 45 formula
Seeing a cat’s skin might be difficult with all the fur, but you’ll notice the whites of their eyes turning yellow. Jaundice is a sign that the liver is failing and too many toxins are building up in the body. His gums may also take on a yellowish appearance. This symptom disappears as the liver begins to recover.
~ Drooling or Excessive Salivation – Hepatic lipidosis suffering cats may feel a bit nauseous, and drooling can be a result of that. * HAMPL Jaundice 45 formula
~ Swollen Abdomen – Your cat’s abdomen may swell up as it becomes filled with a fluid called ascites. It may be painful to your cat to touch it. Cats with chronic pancreatitis rarely display signs of abdominal pain. Chronic pancreatitis can be associated with concurrent – Cholangitis and IBD, (sometimes referred to as Triaditis) * Use the HAMPL LungCardiac Oedema 72-3 formula in this set.
~ Cholangitis is a term referring to inflammation of the bile duct. * See HAMPL Liver Detox 36 formula
~ Cholangiohepatitis means inflammation of the bile ducts, gall bladder, and surrounding liver tissue. According to one prospective study of cats, concurrent pancreatic, hepatic, and/or intestinal inflammation was more common (27/47) than isolated pancreatic inflammation (1/47). Also, chronic pancreatitis is often associated with diabetes mellitus. However, some evidence also indicates that hyperglycemia may lead to pancreatic inflammation in cats.10
~ Cholestasis is reduction or stoppage of bile flow. Bile is the digestive fluid produced by the liver. * See HAMPL Liver Detox 36 formula plus add Activated Charcoal powder mixed in some water and added to food daily. Used for intestinal gas (flatulence), high cholesterol, upset stomach, and bile flow problems (cholestasis).
~ Feline Triaditis … is Inflammatory issues of the Liver, Pancreas and Small Intestine
Triaditis is a syndrome of concurrent –
Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas),
Cholangitis (inflammation of the bile duct system in liver).
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
Once you start using these natural medicines, there will be no need to use or continue to use chemical drugs, as well as more on healing the condition.
We can email an invoice for part of sets that is needed for this condition.

as well as
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
2. REFER TO: HAMPL Colitis Repair 83-1 formula and Slippery Elm Powder 83-5 50mg Packet
If you cat also has diarrhea we would also recommend using the slippery Elm Powder mix in water and added to daily meals (sooth and stops diarrhea.
Common clinical signs include:
- Reduced (or loss of) appetite
- Icterus (aka jaundice or yellowing of skin and sclera, the “whites” of the eyes)
Often applying Sub Q fluids (not IV Fluids) warmed plain saline solution, warmed up plain fluids are given just under the skin, will help get your pet back on track again. If your cat is already very unwell already, we highly recommend starting the daily Sub Q fluids (80ml warm fluids just under the skin).
We can supply the SubQ set to assist at home or ask your friendly Vet to assist with doing them for you or showing you how to at home. This giving of the warmed up solution under the skin at home takes 5 minutes to do.
The most common clinical signs in dogs are:
- Dehydration (97%)
- Loss of appetite (91%)
- Vomiting (90%)
- Weakness (79%)
- Abdominal pain (58%)
- Obesity (43%)
- Diarrhea (33%)
- Fever (32%)
- Jaundice/icterus (32%)
In contrast to dogs, the most common clinical signs in cats are a reduced (or complete loss of) appetite (63-100%) and lethargy (50-100%).
Cats infrequently vomit (35-52%) and rarely develop a fever (7%).
Other reported clinical signs include:
- Dehydration (33-92%)
- Increased thirst & frequency of urination (20%)
- Diarrhea (11-15%)
- Weight loss (33%)
- Elevated respiratory rate (74%)
- Low body temperature (68%)
- Elevated heart rate (48%)

High Lipase levels in blood?
After using the pancreas formulas and the lipase levels only are still high in the blood may indicate the presence of a condition affecting the pancreas. … Lipase levels may also be increased with pancreatic duct obstruction, pancreatic cancer, and other pancreatic diseases, as well as with gallbladder inflammation or kidney disease. If cancer and kidney conditions are ruled out perhaps its the gallbladder.

Easy “Homeopathic” Animal Dosing Application
Bottle no 2 and 3
Pat in 3 -4 drops on the back of shoulder blades, with the bottom of the bottle. The liquid has alcohol, so do not give orally. Repeat as frequently as suggested, when acute or severe symptoms. If no relief or changes were seen after the fourth repeated dosing, then this is an incorrect remedy and need to go onto another formula.
Sometimes, if not sure of the diagnosis, we can try other remedies to see if the response is seen, this helps us know what is going on. e.g, acute pancreas attack, gastro, constipation etc, It’s not the amount applied at each dose, it the frequency of time in between each dosing that is more important.
Less time between repeats the faster response and relief is given. Then we continue, for a complete re-balancing of a system for a bit longer. You can’t hurt if too much is given, but once the pet is back to normal there is no need to give frequent dosing. However, a dose of meals once a day for another week will help prevent any further incomplete issues.
* If possibly or prevent of Infection
e.g Peritonitis (infection in abdomen) also use herbal antibiotic HAMPL Infection Fighter 71 100ml
General Dosing and Instructions Guide
For all species, size, and ages.
(a) “HOMEOPATHICS”are sold in either a clear liquid or tiny white pills or granules – both have no odour or taste) Easy “application dosing” for all species:
- Homeopathic DROPS (clear liquid) DRIP or APPLY 3 to 4 drops, pat into fur/skin with bottom of bottle. i.e. back of shoulder blades (not orally) which is regarded as one dose for all size species and ages. Note: Liquid homeopathics are more suited for feline, toy dog, fish, birds and other small species
- Homeopathic PILLS (white pills) crush a pill (or whole) and add to gum/pouch of mouth to dissolve in saliva. Does not need to swallow it.
- Homeopathic GRANULES (white grain) and a small light sprinkle or a pinch to meals, or stir into water trough or bowl.
Casual repeat dosing can add to water bowl or feed dish or water trough for wildlife or farm animals.
Refer to Bottle Label for suggested frequencies repeat dosing needed per day.
NOTE: the rule is one must “repeat a dose” more frequently with less time in between each application dose, which is more important than the amount given each time. Repeat application will provide faster action.
(b) “HERBAL MEDICINES ” (brown liquid – strong odour & tasting) ”Application dosing” for all species and sizes: Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat : add herbal drops (as recommended on bottle label) to some (unsweetened apple sauce or apple juice) for canines and oral syringe side of mouth. Can add other vitamins (crushed) Alkaline green powders etc. to mix.
Refer to Bottle Label for amount of drops per species size. e.g 60 drops = 1 teaspoon
What I do for example: If I was needing to give herb treatments and/or vitamin supplements to feline or toy dog or other small animals – I add this herbal formula to a small bowl add some boiled water (about a teaspoon) to it so to dissolve the alcohol in it, let cool, then add what vitamins If needed (powder or crushed tab – a pinch) mixed in another 50ml of water, and oral syringe once a day or twice a day …smear on a little “vegemite paste” (if cannot get Vegemite in your country, try fresh pate or slippery elm powder added can help mask the taste) around and on tip of oral syringe, as felines seem to real like the taste of this paste, but not too much as it is quite a strong taste)
(c)“NUTRITIONAL Mix ” Giving vitamins and supplements (tablets or powders) Note: always crush tablet before adding to food or liquid mix. Felines or small animals: make up 1 cup of mixture, adding approx. a pinch of some type of Green powder (alkaline powder) or Chlorella powder (cleansing of toxins) or 1/4 Teaspoons of Slippery elm powder (to mask the taste) with 1 teaspoon of herbs if you are having to also give herbal medicines (i.e. brown liquid) Med to large animals: add twice to three times the amount.
DOSING: Feline or small animal: using an oral syringe draw up 1ml and gently small sips. Or add a teaspoon to meals if they don’t mind eating it with meals (mix well into food) Do not put in Fridge. Room temp is best as too cold is dislike by felines.
DOSING: Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat: try mixing well into food and hand piece before feeding main meals. Or dose same as suggested for felines, but add three times as much herbal medicines and vitamins to 1/2 cup of water or (unsweetened) apple sauce or apple juice.
What I do for example: If i was needing to give herb treatments and/or vitamin supplements to feline or toy dog or other small animals – I add this herbal formula to 1/2 cup of boiled hot water to it so to dissolve the alcohol in it, let cool, then add what vitamins If needed (powder or crushed tab – a pinch) mixed in another 50ml of water, and oral syringe once a day or twice a day …. smear on a little “vegemite paste” (if cannot get Vegemite in your country, try fresh pate or slippery elm powder added can help mask the taste) around and on tip of oral syringe, as felines seem to real like the taste of this paste, but not too much as it is quite a strong taste)
Slippery Elm Powder If needing to add or use Slippery Elm powder
FOR CONDITIONS like …. diarrhea, stomach ulcers, or sore inflamed mouth or mouth ulcers, constipation, or IBS (i.e. colitis), plus it can also been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids.
CONVALESCING ..can been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids or not eating very well. ~ Add a small amount of powder to the mix to enough to make a runny liquid mix, if you put too much of the powder it will become thick and gluggy, if this happens you will need to add more liquid to it. Can add crushed vitamins and herbal medicines to this as well. OPTIONS: Oral dose in syringe or add to meals three times a day or more to maintain normal health again, then can stop or reduce frequencies.
