ITP (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in humans). Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia (IMT). A Vet may diagnose it as ITP -291Code: AN291-0W
- Low Platelet Blood Count Canine & Feline – ITP
- Dogs with ITP typically have very low platelet counts (<50,000 platelets/uL), which puts them at risk of … spontaneous bleeding.
- ITP (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in humans).
- Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia (IMT).
- Low Platelet Blood Count & Abnormal white blood cells.
- A Vet may diagnose it or call it ITP. * Immediately start Vitamin C.
- Possible Vaccinosis (meaning side effect a vaccination).
- Vaccination severely depletes body of Vitamin C.
- Tick bite? .. A”infected” ticks can cause these symptoms too!
- A lots of repeats of oral Vitamin C will dramatically improve blood platelet levels within 24 hours
- From a reading in the 30s to over 200 platelet readings within 7 days of taking the below formulas.
- Important, also taking Colostrum (powder) in pets meals twice a day ongoing.
- Rat poison severely depletes vitamin C, along with the destruction of blood platelets to cause hemorrhaging to death in mice or rats or any other pet that eats pellets.
- Approx. 1,000 drops in 50ml Bottle
- Shelf life Several Years

Thrombocytopenia(IMT) which is “Low Platelet Blood” Count.
What do “platelets” do?
They are the blood cells responsible for clotting. Production of the cells by the bone marrow can be increased a breakdown in the … bloodstream, spleen or liver.
Common in Canines, but Felines rarely get diagnosed or missed, so it is poorly documentation.
Symptoms in Dogs and Cats with “low blood count platelets” that are needed for blood clotting may lead to… lethargy, weakness, increased respiratory rate, bruising, anemia, bleeding, pale gums, dark, tarry stools and other serious complications, e.g. anemia.
Platelets and white blood cells are two of the main blood cell types in the body.
Abnormal levels of these cells can be a sign of illness, disease or complications. Thrombocytopenia, or a low platelet count, can have serious consequences because platelets are required for blood clotting, and excess bleeding can occur if levels are decreased. A healthy platelet count is 150,000 or higher. Leucopenia or low white blood cell count is a decrease in leukocytes in the blood.
Low White Blood Cell Count
White blood cells are important disease-fighting cells in the immune system, and low levels can cause infection and illness. Causes of low platelets and white blood cells include illness, disease, medication side effects and complications of cancer treatments.
Causes can be a variety of things including:
~ Sepsis (infection in the blood)
~ Organ or systemic Infections (e.g. in Feline A.I.D.S)
~ Pharmaceuticals drugs, Flea, worming, Heart worm drugs products,
~ Leukemia (which is a Vitamin C deficiency in many cases),
and the most common cause is a from vaccinations (as vaccines severely deplete vitamin c from the body).
For this reason, please avoid any further toxic insult to your pets body.
Conventional Treatment: may include transfusion of the platelets or prednisolone drug, and suggest removing the spleen, I think they would also suggest removing the liver, but cant do without the liver!!
Vitamins needed ASAP.
~ Vitamin C
Vitamin C is an anti-inflammatory nutrient that is important for healing wounds, maintaining the integrity of capillaries, and absorbing iron from food. Since ITP is associated with inflammation6 and reducing bleeding symptoms is important, it is plausible that taking vitamin C could help people with the platelet disorder. Of all the vitamins and supplements, vitamin C has been the most studied in ITP.
In PDSAs Survey of Non-Traditional Treatments for ITP about 30 percent of those who tried vitamin C felt it helped their platelets and bleeding symptoms, with about 10 percent claiming there was a sustained effect.
~ Folic acid (vitamin B9)
Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin needed for numerous body functions including DNA repair and rapid cell division and growth, including blood cells. Folic acid deficiency may cause thrombocytopenia.
* Use the HAMPL Formulas and Vitamin C in conjunction with Folic Acid in the form of Folinic Acid (which is a bioactive form of Folate) Brand is California GOLD Nutrition available from iherb.com
Add Folic Acid ( Folinic Acid ) to your dosing regime once you get it in.
~ Symbiotics Colostrum
We have seen people take this colostrum powder and she was on her second 21-ounce container was when their blood count started registering as normal again.
~ Rutin 500mg Capsule Supplement. NOW FOODS Brand
Med-Large dog – add the powder from one capsule, add one to every meal.
Small dog – add half the powder from cap in every meal.
Toy dog, cat – 1/4 cap in every meal.
Rutin is a flavonoid, used to aid in venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, avoiding edema, swelling and pain.
Helps blood circulation
Traditionally, rutin has long been used to aid circulation. It’s thought that rutin can help strengthen and increase flexibility in blood vessels, such as your arteries and capillaries. Strengthened blood vessels can improve your overall health. This may help ease related conditions, including bruises, spider veins, and varicose veins. There is also evidence that rutin can aid in treating hemorrhoids (which are caused by swollen veins) and recovering from hemorrhoid removal surgery.
Prevents blood clots
Research shows that rutin can prevent the formation of blood clots in certain animals. This suggests rutin may reduce the risk of blood clots.
Preventing blood clots can help lower your chances of developing life-threatening conditions such as:
deep vein thrombosis
“Hemolytic Anemia” (IMHA) which is “Low Red Blood Cells” Count.
If your dog or cat has been diagnosed with IMHA condition you will be needing to give the
HAMPL Anemia 38 – Homeopathic Set.
For Low “Red Blood Cells” and Low “Blood Platelets”
If your pet has both blood issue is then this natural treatment set is what your pet needs. Pets can also show symptoms of Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (red cell reduction) (IMHA) as well Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (low platelets in the blood) (ITP or IMT) in which the body’s own immune system attacks and destroys its red blood cells (IMHA) or platelets (ITP).
Controversy Over What Causes IMT.
A study conducted by the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at Purdue University and published in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine failed to confirm a link between idiopathic immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (IMT) and recent vaccination. Thankfully, the Purdue researchers also noted that, “… the possibility of an association cannot be completely ruled out based on the small sample populations and requires further investigation.”Dr. Robert Runde, writing for dvm360.com, points out other limitations of the study, including lack of information on the number of vaccines the dogs in the study received throughout their lives.
According to Dr. Runde, “… it is difficult to conclude whether recent or cumulative vaccinations may or may not increase the risk of idiopathic IMT.” Its the opinion of most holistic veterinarians that the vast majority of immune-mediated diseases, including IMT, are triggered or exacerbated by vaccines, particularly bacterin (vaccines against bacterial organisms, such as the leptospirosis and Lyme vaccines), as well as killed vaccines (rabies vaccine).
Studies like this one that looks only for associations between recent vaccinations and immune-mediated disease have a very limited use, in my opinion. Some animals immune systems are reactive for the very first time a foreign and potentially toxic agent like a vaccine is introduced. The response in these pets is immediate and often overwhelming. Other animals immune systems (the majority, in my experience), respond to cumulative vaccinations over a period of months or years.
Sometimes its a vaccine alone that triggers immune disease in a pet. More often, its vaccinations coupled with other medications, environmental toxins, poor quality diet, and other lifestyle stressors. The strength and balance of every animals immune system is different, so theres no way to predict – unless your dog or cat has had a reaction in the past — how much danger your pet is in from exposure to the modified virus contained in any given vaccine or the many toxic ingredients it also contains. Thats why I, and other experienced Homeopathic Practitioners and some Holistic Veterinarians strongly encourage pet owners to get a Titre Test done before to see if an actual vaccination is necessary. You will see that unnecessary vaccine and over vaccinate can be avoided. This, in turn, will keep your pets a lot healthier and longer life disease free.
What is vaccinosis?
~ Vaccinosis is a condition recognized almost exclusively by the holistic veterinary community. It is not generally acknowledged by traditional veterinarians. Dr. Richard Pitcairn defines vaccinosis this way: “Vaccinosis is to be understood as the disturbance of the vital force by vaccination that results in mental, emotional, and a physical change that can, in some cases, be a permanent condition.”
~ Vaccines are composed of modified live viruses, killed viruses and a number of potentially toxic substances. They also enter the body in an unnatural way (by injection) compared to real viruses. They bypass the body’s first lines of defense and are delivered directly to the blood and lymph systems.
~ Vaccine reactions, or vaccinosis, are wide-ranging. Some reactions are relatively minor, while others are life-threatening.
Fortunately, the traditional veterinary community is slowing becoming aware that vaccines are not the benign disease-prevention tools they were once thought to be.

General Dosing and Instructions Guide
For all species, size, and ages.
(a) “HOMEOPATHICS”are sold in either a clear liquid or tiny white pills or granules – both have no odour or taste)
Easy “application dosing” for all species:
- Homeopathic DROPS (clear liquid) DRIP or APPLY 3 to 4 drops, pat into fur/skin with bottom of bottle. i.e. back of shoulder blades (not orally) which is regarded as one dose for all size species and ages. Note: Liquid homeopathics are more suited for feline, toy dog, fish, birds and other small species
- Homeopathic PILLS (white pills) crush a pill (or whole) and add to gum/pouch of mouth to dissolve in saliva. Does not need to swallow it.
- Homeopathic GRANULES (white grain) and a small light sprinkle or a pinch to meals, or stir into water trough or bowl.
Casual repeat dosing can add to water bowl or feed dish or water trough for wildlife or farm animals.
Refer to Bottle Label for suggested frequencies repeat dosing needed per day.
NOTE: the rule is one must “repeat a dose” more frequently with less time in between each application dose, which is more important than the amount given each time. Repeat application will provide faster action.
(b) “HERBAL MEDICINES ” (brown liquid – strong odour & tasting)
”Application dosing” for all species and sizes:
Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat : add herbal drops (as recommended on bottle label) to some (unsweetened apple sauce or apple juice) for canines and oral syringe side of mouth. Can add other vitamins (crushed) Alkaline green powders etc. to mix.
Refer to Bottle Label for amount of drops per species size. e.g 60 drops = 1 teaspoon
What I do for example: If I was needing to give herb treatments and/or vitamin supplements to feline or toy dog or other small animals – I add this herbal formula to a small bowl add some boiled water (about a teaspoon) to it so to dissolve the alcohol in it, let cool, then add what vitamins If needed (powder or crushed tab – a pinch) mixed in another 50ml of water, and oral syringe once a day or twice a day …smear on a little “vegemite paste” (if cannot get Vegemite in your country, try fresh pate or slippery elm powder added can help mask the taste) around and on tip of oral syringe, as felines seem to real like the taste of this paste, but not too much as it is quite a strong taste)
Giving vitamins and supplements (tablets or powders) Note: always crush tablet before adding to food or liquid mix.
Felines or small animals: make up 1 cup of mixture, adding approx. a pinch of some type of Green powder (alkaline powder) or Chlorella powder (cleansing of toxins) or 1/4 Teaspoons of Slippery elm powder (to mask the taste) with 1 teaspoon of herbs if you are having to also give herbal medicines (i.e. brown liquid)
Med to large animals: add twice to three times the amount.
DOSING: Feline or small animal: using an oral syringe draw up 1ml and gently small sips. Or add a teaspoon to meals if they don’t mind eating it with meals (mix well into food) Do not put in Fridge. Room temp is best as too cold is dislike by felines.
DOSING: Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat: try mixing well into food and hand piece before feeding main meals. Or dose same as suggested for felines, but add three times as much herbal medicines and vitamins to 1/2 cup of water or (unsweetened) apple sauce or apple juice.
What I do for example: If i was needing to give herb treatments and/or vitamin supplements to feline or toy dog or other small animals – I add this herbal formula to 1/2 cup of boiled hot water to it so to dissolve the alcohol in it, let cool, then add what vitamins If needed (powder or crushed tab – a pinch) mixed in another 50ml of water, and oral syringe once a day or twice a day …. smear on a little “vegemite paste” (if cannot get Vegemite in your country, try fresh pate or slippery elm powder added can help mask the taste) around and on tip of oral syringe, as felines seem to real like the taste of this paste, but not too much as it is quite a strong taste)
Slippery Elm Powder
If needing to add or use Slippery Elm powder
FOR CONDITIONS like …. diarrhea, stomach ulcers, or sore inflamed mouth or mouth ulcers, constipation, or IBS (i.e. colitis), plus it can also been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids.
CONVALESCING ..can been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids or not eating very well.
~ Add a small amount of powder to the mix to enough to make a runny liquid mix, if you put too much of the powder it will become thick and gluggy, if this happens you will need to add more liquid to it. Can add crushed vitamins and herbal medicines to this as well. OPTIONS: Oral dose in syringe or add to meals three times a day or more to maintain normal health again, then can stop or reduce frequencies.
