Help Sheet

  • Maintaining and support from mineral deficiencies that may cause muscle tone, strengthen the nerves, colon, large and small intestines, conditions of obstinate, obstruction, or intestinal paralysis, damage spine or bone deformities, rheumatoid arthritis in the back end.

Constipation is often misinterpreted as a lack of fiber, but that is not the case – it reflects failed transition to healthy bowel flora and mineral deficiencies. People have been using magnesium to treat constipation, but not all magnesium’s work that way, so here are a couple types of magnesium supplements that will help with constipation issues.

    Chronic Constipation

Megacolon (chronic constipation) can be brought on by injury to the spine or deformities of the spine as well as from natural causes and rheumatoid arthritis. Then Conditions that show abnormal bowel health anal prolapse, constipation, stricture of rectum or spasms, paralysis, debility, nervous exhaustion, anal retentive, obstinate constipation.  If ongoing bowel health issues of the colon muscle, weak or damage from long-term stool build up and impaction, which can be caused by spinal injuries or deformities etc.

Often a bad breath is noticed, but not every time.
Due to the poor digestive system.
    Dry flat looking fur.
Pets with kidney (dehydrated - provide SubQ fluids)
Pets with liver issues also get constipated as well.

    MEGACOLON Support

Step 1.    HAMPL MegaCol 200-1 formula.
One dose applied (3 to 4 drops on body/skin) repeated three to five times daily or add to meals - mix in. Until system has improved. Then can reduce to two to three times a day. Times of difficulty in expelling: give frequent dosing, for example, give 4 repeats dosing, each dose is given 10 mins apart each time. Repeat following day if needed.
    * However, once the Magnesium Citrate kicks in, you can reduce the homeopathic repeat dosing.

Step 2.    Magnesium Citrate powder 100mg
Taken internally, (about a teaspoon in 1/4 cup of water), (oral syringe or add to meals) this is one of the best, and most healthful, way to combat constipation. Rely on magnesium oxide or citrate, taken internally, to bowel tolerance. In other words, if it causes loose stools, cut back slightly the amount.  Then just use Magnesium Glycinate on going to prevent Magnesium deficiencies again, if this type of magnesium is not enough, go back to Magnesium Citrate.

There are quite a few different types of "Magnesium" mineral supplements however the below two are best for this condition.

    Magnesium Citrate   Vs   Magnesium Oxide

    * Magnesium Citrate -  helps to increase the amount of water in the intestines, which can help with bowel movements. It may be used as a laxative due to these properties, or as a supplement for magnesium deficiency.
    * Magnesium Oxide  - is a non-chelated type of magnesium, bound to an organic acid or a fatty acid. Contains 60 percent magnesium, and has stool softening properties.
May be used for treating heartburn or acid indigestion, acting as an antacid. It may also be used as a laxative for short-term use.

For humans, It can be taken as a capsule up to four times each day. ( Pets, add powder to liquid or meals)
As a laxative, it should be taken with some water. Add to some water with meals or oral syringe four times a day until stools are released.

Guideline to start using this mineral supplement

Magnesium Citrate powder is "magnesium with citric acid", which has laxative properties.
(Do not use this type of Magnesium if  you or pet has internal ulcers or colitis or IBS)

Cat, toy dog, small animal, infant animal:
add a “pinch” of magnesium citrate (mineral) powder for each dosing in some water and oral syringe or add to meals (if not emergency relief)
Small, Med Dog to large Dog:    start with approx. ½ a teaspoon of magnesium citrate powder supplement.  For each dosing in some water and oral syringe or add to meals (if not emergency relief)

    • Refer to:  "Home Therapy"  page for enema instructions. These Instructions are also provided with this formula. We highly recommend trying the above ones. Both or one or the other.

  • General Dosing and Instructions
Guide

For all species, size, and ages.

    HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINES

    (a) “HOMEOPATHICS”are sold in either a clear liquid or tiny white pills or granules – both have no odour or taste)

Easy “application dosing” for all species:

    • Homeopathic DROPS (clear liquid) DRIP or APPLY 3 to 4 drops, pat into fur/skin with bottom of bottle. i.e. back of shoulder blades (not orally) which is regarded as one dose for all size species and ages. Note: Liquid homeopathics are more suited for feline, toy dog, fish, birds and other small species
    • Homeopathic PILLS (white pills) crush a pill (or whole) and add to gum/pouch of mouth to dissolve in saliva. Does not need to swallow it.
    • Homeopathic GRANULES (white grain) and a small light sprinkle or a pinch to meals, or stir into water trough or bowl.
Casual repeat dosing can add to water bowl or feed dish or water trough for wildlife or farm animals.

Refer to Bottle Label for suggested frequencies repeat dosing needed per day.
    NOTE:
the rule is one must “repeat a dose” more frequently with less time in between each application dose, which is more important than the amount given each time. Repeat application will provide

faster action.

    HERBAL MEDICINES

    (b) “HERBAL MEDICINES ” (brown liquid – strong odour & tasting)
”Application dosing” for all species and sizes:
Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat : add herbal drops (as recommended on bottle label) to some (unsweetened apple sauce or apple juice) for canines and oral syringe side of mouth. Can add other vitamins (crushed) Alkaline green powders etc. to mix.

Refer to Bottle Label for amount of drops per species size. e.g 60 drops = 1 teaspoon

What I do for example: If I was needing to give herb treatments and/or vitamin supplements to feline or toy dog or other small animals – I add this herbal formula to a small bowl add some boiled water (about a teaspoon) to it so to dissolve the alcohol in it, let cool, then add what vitamins If needed (powder or crushed tab – a pinch) mixed in another 50ml of water, and oral syringe once a day or twice a day …smear on a little “vegemite paste” (if cannot get Vegemite in your country, try fresh pate or slippery elm powder added can help mask the taste) around and on tip of oral syringe, as felines seem to real like the taste of this paste, but not too much as it is quite a strong taste)

    NUTRITION

    (c)“NUTRITIONAL Mix
”
Giving vitamins and supplements (tablets or powders) Note: always crush tablet before adding to food or liquid mix.
Felines or small animals: make up 1 cup of mixture, adding approx. a pinch of some type of Green powder (alkaline powder) or Chlorella powder (cleansing of toxins) or 1/4 Teaspoons of Slippery elm powder (to mask the taste) with 1 teaspoon of herbs if you are having to also give herbal medicines (i.e. brown liquid)
Med to large animals: add twice to three times the amount.

DOSING: Feline or small animal: using an oral syringe draw up 1ml and gently small sips. Or add a teaspoon to meals if they don’t mind eating it with meals (mix well into food) Do not put in Fridge. Room temp is best as too cold is dislike by felines.
DOSING: Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat: try mixing well into food and hand piece before feeding main meals. Or dose same as suggested for felines, but add three times as much herbal medicines and vitamins to 1/2 cup of water or (unsweetened) apple sauce or apple juice.

What I do for example: If i was needing to give herb treatments and/or vitamin supplements to feline or toy dog or other small animals – I add this herbal formula to 1/2 cup of boiled hot water to it so to dissolve the alcohol in it, let cool, then add what vitamins If needed (powder or crushed tab – a pinch) mixed in another 50ml of water, and oral syringe once a day or twice a day …. smear on a little “vegemite paste” (if cannot get Vegemite in your country, try fresh pate or slippery elm powder added can help mask the taste) around and on tip of oral syringe, as felines seem to real like the taste of this paste, but not too much as it is quite a strong taste)

    Slippery Elm Powder

If needing to add or use Slippery Elm powder

FOR CONDITIONS like …. diarrhea, stomach ulcers, or sore inflamed mouth or mouth ulcers, constipation, or IBS (i.e. colitis), plus it can also been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids.

CONVALESCING ..can been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids or not eating very well.
~ Add a small amount of powder to the mix to enough to make a runny liquid mix, if you put too much of the powder it will become thick and gluggy, if this happens you will need to add more liquid to it. Can add crushed vitamins and herbal medicines to this as well. OPTIONS: Oral dose in syringe or add to meals three times a day or more to maintain normal health again, then can stop or reduce frequencies.

I ordered megacolon for my 15yr old cat Frankie, he has been having constipation issue for years now , where there are times he doesnt go for 6days and its very strenous , even though i have him on organic raw diet with plenty of water i add to each meal he gets and pumkin. I figure its megacolon , he also has painful discs in his back right by his tail which causes him pain when he goes . Ive been giving the megacolin for just over a week . It takes a few days to start to work not a right on the spot treatment , but frankie has started going every three days so far which is great! I will continue this product ! Just to mention when cats are on a raw diet its call low residual diet which means theres not a lot of waste .so to **** even every second day is a good thing . At first my female cat would run when she saw the pipette in my hand.

At first my female cat would run when she saw the pipette in my hand. But for some months now she climbs up onto the washing machine just under the shelf where the drops are kept, and offers her back for us to instill the doses. My husband doses her as well as he has observed the relief she gets from the treatment. Her stools are more normal in size (no longer huge bundles) and she goes almost every day now. We also have her sibling, a male, who eats the same raw supplemented diet as she does and remains regular and has not required treatment for constipation.
