Did you know that “Fleas” do not “live” or “breed” on your pet. Once the flea is in a hospitable breeding environment, the fleas will jump off and on your pet. With some pets, when a flea bites them, they get an allergy reaction in that area, hence the biting and scratching on the skin irritation. There are two types of flea’s sand fleas and canine fleas. The idea is to stop them from breeding and jumping on and off your pet. They will breed in the sandy areas of the garden or park. Once brought inside when they jump off your pet & also start to breed in the carpets. Why poison your pet’s body (blood) with toxic insecticide chemicals, when it is the environment we need to control and stop the flea egg cycle.
See AN062 - Skin Flea Allergy Dermatitis set of 2
Flea bite allergy is the most common allergy affecting dogs. Contrary to popular belief a dog experiences only minor skin irritation in response to flea bites. Even in the presence of dozens of fleas, there will be very little itching if any. On the other hand, a dog with a compromised immune system will develop an allergic response to flea saliva. Just one bite causes intense itching. This type of reaction is not to the flea itself but rather to proteins in its saliva. A single bite can cause a reaction for five to seven days, and when examined you may not even find a flea on them. Fleas do not live on the pets, they jump off and on and breed in sandy areas or bedding and carpet if a flea gets a chance.
The dog's response to the intense itching is to chew, lick, or scratch. This causes hair loss and can lead to open sores or scabs on the skin, allowing a secondary bacterial or yeast infection to begin. The area most commonly involved is over the rump (just in front of the tail), and left untreated will very often develop a yeast infection. Many flea allergic dogs also chew or lick the hair off of their legs, leading to hot spots sores and lesions.
Conventional treatments - you would be prescribed corticosteroids (anti-inflammatory) for temporary relief during the flea season. However, these treatments may be dangerous to your pet if prolonged and only offer relief of symptoms at best. Further impairing your pets immune system.
The most important treatment for flea allergy is to strengthen the immune system. When we have a weak immune system we can be susceptible to many environmental allergy reactions, including certain foods and inhalants. Unfortunately, it can take months to years to rebuild or repair the immune system.
In the meantime, we need to get rid of the flea cycle. Unfortunately, complete flea control is not always possible for pets that live outdoors in warm and humid climates, where a new population of fleas can hatch out every 14-21 days.
Homeopathic Remedy for Fleas and Ticks.
Bottle 1. The homeopathic formula has the Psorinum nosode.
This will help repel and control fleas on dogs and cats naturally using the homeopathic nosode, Psorinum 30C.
It is totally natural, economical, non-toxic (to kids, pets and the environment) and can safely be given to a dog or cat for fleas. Even better, it makes attacks by ticks more difficult; this helps the pet to fight more effectively against. tick diseases or Lyme disease in dogs. Psorinum is also effective in the treatment of flea and tick collar, insecticide intolerance, or ineffectiveness. Hardy fleas will become immune to the commercial insecticides used in flea collars. This remedy is also good for sporting or hunting dogs who have been out too long in the elements. For all species, size, and ages.
(a) “HOMEOPATHICS”are sold in either a clear liquid or tiny white pills or granules – both have no odour or taste) Easy “application dosing” for all species:
Refer to Bottle Label for suggested frequencies repeat dosing needed per day.
NOTE: the rule is one must “repeat a dose” more frequently with less time in between each application dose, which is more important than the amount given each time. Repeat application will provide faster action.
(b) “HERBAL MEDICINES ” (brown liquid – strong odour & tasting) ”Application dosing” for all species and sizes: Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat : add herbal drops (as recommended on bottle label) to some (unsweetened apple sauce or apple juice) for canines and oral syringe side of mouth. Can add other vitamins (crushed) Alkaline green powders etc. to mix.
Refer to Bottle Label for amount of drops per species size. e.g 60 drops = 1 teaspoon
What I do for example: If I was needing to give herb treatments and/or vitamin supplements to feline or toy dog or other small animals – I add this herbal formula to a small bowl add some boiled water (about a teaspoon) to it so to dissolve the alcohol in it, let cool, then add what vitamins If needed (powder or crushed tab – a pinch) mixed in another 50ml of water, and oral syringe once a day or twice a day …smear on a little “vegemite paste” (if cannot get Vegemite in your country, try fresh pate or slippery elm powder added can help mask the taste) around and on tip of oral syringe, as felines seem to real like the taste of this paste, but not too much as it is quite a strong taste)
(c)“NUTRITIONAL Mix ” Giving vitamins and supplements (tablets or powders) Note: always crush tablet before adding to food or liquid mix. Felines or small animals: make up 1 cup of mixture, adding approx. a pinch of some type of Green powder (alkaline powder) or Chlorella powder (cleansing of toxins) or 1/4 Teaspoons of Slippery elm powder (to mask the taste) with 1 teaspoon of herbs if you are having to also give herbal medicines (i.e. brown liquid) Med to large animals: add twice to three times the amount.
DOSING: Feline or small animal: using an oral syringe draw up 1ml and gently small sips. Or add a teaspoon to meals if they don’t mind eating it with meals (mix well into food) Do not put in Fridge. Room temp is best as too cold is dislike by felines.
DOSING: Canine, equine, cow, sheep, goat: try mixing well into food and hand piece before feeding main meals. Or dose same as suggested for felines, but add three times as much herbal medicines and vitamins to 1/2 cup of water or (unsweetened) apple sauce or apple juice.

Slippery Elm Powder If needing to add or use Slippery Elm powder
FOR CONDITIONS like …. diarrhea, stomach ulcers, or sore inflamed mouth or mouth ulcers, constipation, or IBS (i.e. colitis), plus it can also been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids.
CONVALESCING ..can been given as a liquid meal given orally via syringe as it is highly nutritional (oral liquid feeding) for convalescing during illness when not eating solids or not eating very well. ~ Add a small amount of powder to the mix to enough to make a runny liquid mix, if you put too much of the powder it will become thick and gluggy, if this happens you will need to add more liquid to it. Can add crushed vitamins and herbal medicines to this as well. OPTIONS: Oral dose in syringe or add to meals three times a day or more to maintain normal health again, then can stop or reduce frequencies.

Easy to use. My dogs don’t seem to mind the smell which is great. Didn’t see any mosquitoes or flies around them so that’s great! Only criticism is that I wish it came in a larger size.
I'm using this to treat my dogs for fleas. It beats the poisons that are pushed in vets offices.
This product is great as its not going to poison my dog, unlike the chemical drugs for fleas, ticks, flys, mosquitos etc
Very effective! Cat hates the smell - but who cares- it's kind and effective.
I used this just once on our cat. She had been bothered by fleas for a few weeks.. This was almost immediately effective as she was not scratching as much and seemed calmer. He coat is softer too! Feels so good to use a 100 year old remedy!
